Learners have continued working hard on their multiplication facts. We have been working on fact fluency with new math games, word problems and karate belt tests! This week we have looked at the patterns of the 2's, 4's, 5's and 10's.
In our current unit, How the World Works learners have been learning about slow and rapid changes. Over the last few days learners have been researching different types of natural disasters! Ask you child about hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, tornados, land slides and tsunamis. Today, learners explored several different forms of energy and we discussed how energy causes our slow and rapid changes to happen.
Today learners played a new math game called, The Array Game. They made multiplication equations and represented their equation with an array! Learners also took their 2's test today. Next week they will take their 3's, 5's, 10's, 11's and 4's.
Learners also started typing their imaginative narrative. Their next step will be to illustrate their story!
Today learners played a new favorite game, Circles and Stars to practice multiplication. Learners have also been working hard in their cursive handwriting book. We are almost done with all of our lowercase letters.
Today we started researching all about force. Learners worked in pairs to find the answers to our force questions.
Learners were able to check out new books today in library while they helped to decorate Mrs. Freyou's gingerbread house! The genre of book determined what type of decoration learners were able to add to the house.
