This week, learners worked on writing monster stories!
Today, we did Pumpkin math. We weighed and measured our pumpkins. Then, learners counted all of the pumpkin seeds!
We also made cupcakes and decorated them!
Everyone loved dressing up this week for Red Ribbon Week and walking to school today! It was a great week in 2B!!
Learners have been working hard in our new unit, How We Organize Ourselves. We are talking about leadership qualities and learning about different leaders. Yesterday, learners ranked different leadership qualities and then discussed their choices in partners. Today, we go to hear from two of our Pinkerton Leaders! Mrs. Mikkelsen and Mrs. Hux spoke to all of 2nd grade about their role as a Pinkerton leader.
Learners are also working on finishing their reflection for our last unit. Today, they worked in partners to edit their rough drafts.
In math, we are working on finding sums using a variety of strategies. Learners were excited to practice different number strings on whiteboards today!
Learners had a great time at the 2nd Grade Arts Showcase this morning!!
Today, learners played a game to practice making groups of 10. They did a great job!
Learners also practiced making combinations of 10 to complete number strings.
