This week was a great one! We started talking about place value this week. Learners created a foldable to represent expanded form, word form, and standard form. They practiced writing numbers in each form! Today learners played Poppin' Place Value!
Learners worked in groups to create posters that represented the E in our Pinkerton Pride. (Engage in Learning) We also created our classroom Essential Agreements!
More learners shared their About Me Bags and we had a Just Dance brain break!
Today was the 3rd day of 3rd grade!! We started off our morning by interviewing a classmate to get to know them better! Learners were able to share out what they had learned about their new friend! We also talked about the I in our Pinkerton Pride. We discussed how it is always important to include others! In math, we solved mystery number puzzles that all had to do with the number 3!
To go along with our discussion of including others, learners had to work together to put together a giant puzzle! Today was a great day!!
We had a great first day of third grade today!! We were able to play some getting to know you games and organize our school supplies!
We also started reviewing our Pinkerton Pride. Today we focused on the first letter P. We talked about ways we could show how we practice responsibility throughout our school! During math, learners answered our very first POD (Problem of the Day)!
Finally, several learners shared what they had brought in their All About Me Bags!
